AMSI & the Community

In line with our continuous efforts to enhance our schools and communities, one of our main roles at AMSI is to create an academic environment that inspires community awareness to its students by promoting the importance of protecting our environment. As educators, we strongly believe that environmental awareness is an essential part of every student’s education. It helps to encourage appreciation of the natural world, leading to informed concern for and active participation in resolving environmental problems.

As one of the founding members of The Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED), a not-for-profit regional non-governmental organization aimed at promoting prudent environmental policies and programmes across the Arab region, our students get the chance to actively participate in their annual conference which brings together top Arab and international delegates including ministers of environment and energy from around the world, heads of agencies and top scientists.

For more information on AFED, visit www.afedonline.org

In addition, AMSI offers its students the opportunity to participate in other regional initiatives with the aim of bettering the community, such as Dubai Cares, as well as giving them the chance to set up their own fund raising events.
